For the past week we have been chasing Donald Duck, liking and tweeting runDisney posts and pictures and waiting patiently for runDisney to reveal this.

Oh my! What a beauty! It has the traditional round shape, but it features two spinning parts, including a medallion with a classic image of Mickey Mouse on one side and a modern image of him on the other side. Other features are two engraved quotes from Walt Disney himself. I can’t wait to have this beautiful medal hanging around my neck on January 13, 2013! It’s not too late to register and book! There are still plenty of rooms available for Marathon Weekend.I have a feeling that this will be a monumental weekend! Mousekeplanner is the proud Travel Agency for the Pacebook Running Club. The Pacebook Running Club (PbRC) is a running group for all enthusiastic Disney Runners from all over the world who have one thing in common – The love of running and the love of Disney. The majority of the members are running the Goofy Race and a half Challenge. (Running Goofy is running the half marathon on Saturday and then running the full marathon on Sunday) and some are even running the 5K on Friday, (the unofficial “Dopey”). Which means there will be a PbRC member in every race during Marathon Weekend!
We started this group to create our own “relaxed” pace group for the 2013 Disney Half Marathon. Different pace groups will be created for us to run together, this way when we get to a character meet and greet, we can take group photos and even be filmed by Lee Hoedl. Please take the time to see all of Lee’s infamous videos and marathon training advice here! Lee will then compile all the photos and videos and turn them into a wonderful video to commemorate the weekend.
We are also hosting a Private Epcot Illuminations Dessert Party on Sunday, January 13, 2013. This is a private party just for PbRC members and their guests and will be a wonderful opportunity for all of us to come together after a magical weekend of racing to celebrate our accomplishment! On top of all that, we will have designated runners staying at different resorts hosting meet ups on Thursday and Friday before the races to bring together PbRC members to “kick off” the weekend!
