Some changes occurred over the weekend with the Walt Disney World Theme Park Tickets. Not only did we see an increase in the 2016 Theme Park Ticket Packages we were also introduced to a new Seasonal Pricing on 1 day theme park tickets. These prices went into effect on February 28, 2016.

First let’s talk about the seasonal pricing. How does this exactly work? Lets take a look at the following calendar.

Each month is divided into value, regular and peak days. Here’s an example, if guests plan their visit for September, they’ll have a variety of options, including many days in the value period, which will give them the opportunity to pay less for a 1-Day ticket. If they plan to visit during a peak period, like the winter holidays, they will pay more.

Tickets and Options are non-transferable and non-refundable. Multi-day tickets expire 14 days from first use. A 1-Day Value Season Ticket is valid for single day admission on Value Season dates only. A 1-Day Regular Season Ticket is valid for single day admission on Regular and Value Season dates only. A 1-Day Peak Season Ticket is valid for single day admission on Peak, Regular and Value Season dates. 1-Day Theme Park Tickets will expire on December 31 of the year following purchase, but the amount paid for an unused, expired ticket may be applied towards the purchase of a new ticket at the current price. No credit or refund will be given if a higher season ticket is used on a lower season date. Peak, Regular and Value validity dates continue to be added to the calendar from time to time. The dates assigned to each of the seasons and the number of days in each of these seasons may change from year to year.

Purchasing a 1-Day ticket in a non-peak period, or choosing multi-day tickets and annual passes, will provide additional flexibility and value. Multi-Day Park tickets will remain the same throughout the year.  The following charts show you the price increases. Notice the multi-day park ticket prices stay the same year round. Ticket options can be purchased for 5-10 days, they are just not shown in these examples.
