Whether you’re planning a couples getaway, honeymoon, or looking for a few moments away from the kids during your Disney vacation, there are plenty of spots around Walt Disney World to reignite the romance. Here are our top picks of the most romantic places at Walt Disney World!
9. Pandora at Night
Pandora: World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom comes to life at night with the other-worldly glow of bioluminescent plants, waterways, and walkways. Discover the beauty of Pandora in a new light once the sun goes down. It’s a can’t-miss experience!
8. Aerophile at Disney Springs
The tethered hot air balloon ride at Disney Springs allows guests to soar 400 feet in the air, offering 360-degree views of Disney Springs and the surrounding area. Go for a ride at night for cooler temperatures and see Disney Springs all lit up. After your balloon ride, head over to Enzo’s Hideaway Tunnel Bar (underneath Maria and Enzo’s) for a cocktail in a secluded speakeasy—the perfect place to cozy up together.
7. Seven Seas Lagoon Beach Area
The beaches between Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa offer beautiful, serene views of Cinderella Castle day or night. A walkway connects the two resorts and Magic Kingdom, perfect for a romantic stroll before or after a dinner reservation at one of the resorts’ many fine-dining locations. Or, lounge in a beach chair with a tropical cocktail and take a break from your park adventures. The area is perfect for a romantic picnic lunch, too! It’s also one of the best places to watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks outside the parks.
6. Cinderella Wishing Well
Located on a secluded pathway to the right of Cinderella Castle (between the castle and Tomorrowland), Cinderella Wishing Well is one of the most relaxing spots at Magic Kingdom. Detailed and ornately sculpted, the wishing well features Cinderella’s mice and bird friends engraved on the sides and an elaborate archway with Cinderella and Prince Charming’s crest. There is a bench to sit for a moment and take in the beauty of Cinderella Castle and the surrounding gardens. Its secluded, stunning location makes it a perfect place for a couple’s photoshoot, proposal, or princess pictures.
5. Italy Pavilion at EPCOT
It’s no wonder that the pavilion, which is modeled after one of the most romantic cities in the world, made it onto our list. Whether you take in the replica of Venice’s St. Mark’s Square or toss a coin into the Neptune Fountain, romance is all around you. One of the most romantic spots at the pavilion is opposite the walkway, closest to the World Showcase Lagoon. Two white, ornately decorated bridges cross over a small waterway to a large open area overlooking the lagoon, complete with iconic gondolas. This open area is a perfect place to watch Harmonious if it’s not roped off for a private event. If it is, anywhere in Italy is a great place to watch the fireworks and walk back toward Spaceship Earth at the end of the night.
4. Disney’s Port Orleans Resort
This moderate resort in the Disney Springs area includes two sister hotels: French Quarter and Riverside. A walkway along the Sassagoula River connects them, a charming place for an evening promenade around the mansions that make up the resort. There are several romantic activities at the resort, including horse-drawn carriage rides! Rent a Surrey for a morning bike ride along the river, or take a relaxing boat ride to Disney Springs. End the evening with beignets and live jazz at the Scat Cat’s Club in the lobby of the French Quarter.
3. Cinderella’s Royal Table
Located inside Cinderella Castle, dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table is a royal affair. It’s no surprise it’s one of the most popular places to get engaged at Walt Disney World! Although princess character dining is not currently available at this location, you’ll still feel like royalty as you dine with royal banners overhead, stained glass windows, and even suits of armor.
2. Le Cellier Steakhouse
Le Cellier, located inside the Canada Pavilion at EPCOT, offers one of the finest dining experiences on Walt Disney World property. Modeled after the wine cellars of Canada’s grand hotels, Le Cellier’s intimate dining location and exquisite menu of steaks, seafood, and other Canadian specialties make it one of the most romantic places at Walt Disney World. After your meal, take a romantic stroll around Victoria Gardens, inspired by the Butchart Gardens in British Columbia.
1. California Grill – Disney’s Contemporary Resort
Nestled on the top floor of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, The California Grill offers spectacular bird’s-eye views of Cinderella Castle, Magic Kingdom, Seven Seas Lagoon, and Bay Lake. Floor-to-ceiling windows throughout the restaurant provide a romantic backdrop to your meal. Make a reservation in the evening to watch the sunset over Seven Seas Lagoon. Or, book a late dinner and watch Disney Enchantment show light up the sky above Cinderella Castle. The lighting is dimmed, and the music is broadcasted throughout the restaurant to enhance the experience. Or, step out onto the private outdoor breezeway attached to the restaurant for an even better view.
California Grill is one of the finest dining locations on Disney property, with a world-class menu inspired by California’s signature dishes. In celebration of Disney World’s 50th anniversary, they offer a three-course menu that incorporates classic and modern dishes.
